Decorative Trays: Adding a cute tray to a coffee table, an ottoman, or a bedside table instantly makes your mess of objects look deliberate! I swear it works!! Trays are the home decor accessory MVP. Yes, I just made that up; but it’s true! They are a serious game changer for any area that needs some zhushing up! Plus, I love having extra trays around so we can use our ottoman as a coffee table when we have company (or breakfast in bed–like that every happens 😉

You can always add a small tray to the top of a stack of books to make it look deliberate. Plus, small decorative trays are perfect for your bedside table to hold your bracelets, watch, and other jewelry you like to take off before sleep.
If you are in the market for a tray, I have rounded up my favorites below. Personally, I have four large trays that I use around the house: the DIY Gold and Lucite tray (it goes everywhere in our house, DIY Faux Inlay tray, an orange and glass tray that I picked up from Target, and a large black faux python tray. I also employ a smaller blue Greek Key tray and a pink and white striped one as a decorative accent on top of books as well.
See here how I use a tray to create a little vignette on my coffee table by corralling more decorative objects. With a similar size to coffee table books, a tray makes a nice addition that creates visual interest.
Adding a small jewelry tray in the guest bedroom, provides a place for my guests to take off their jewelry before bed or a glass of water.
This marble tray is one of the hardest working trays in our home. I have used it in the nursery, in our master bedroom, in our living room, and in our playroom. Marble and gold is such a fantastic neutral it goes with anything and for just over $20 you can have a tray you will use forever! Plus, it is a great look for less for which is more than twice the price!
