This is the first week I finally feel like it has been summer. We are getting into the swing of things and we have been to the beach or the pool everyday. It has been perfect swimming weather every day. Here are my five favorites from this week:
1.) FAVORITE ROOM:
Baby Jack’s room is quickly becoming my favorite room in the house. Although we have a few more projects to complete before we call the room finished, it has come a long way. Read more about the Vintage Changing Table DIY here.
2.) FAVORITE PARENT HACK:
Now this might not be a “hack” per se but it really helped me this week. I ventured to the beach solo with the two kiddos for the first time. We are so lucky to live 10 minutes from the beach but the thought of literally carrying a toddler and a newborn plus all of the gear and toys had me putting it off. So I brought our super BOB stroller. I loaded everything in it (infant carseat because he is under 4 months old so he cannot ride in a regular stroller seat), blanket, tent, beach toys, towels, and beach bag, oh and kids. Ta DA! Success! It wasn’t easy to push on the beach but it was so worth it. Make sure to lock the front wheel in position so it doesn’t swivel.
3.) FAVORITE NURSING BRA ON SALE
These are my absolute favorite nursing bra. I wear this one almost everyday and this one when I want the twins to look a little perkier. Both are super don’t have underwire and are easy for nursing. If you are a nursing mama, you want to stay clear of underwire for fear of plugged ducts.
If you aren’t a member of Zulily, join here. It is completely free and no obligations. I get most of the kids smocked dresses and bubbles from there as well as my nursing bras. All are half off usually. Occasionally they will have Honest Co. vouchers which I always pick up as it cuts the cost in half.
4.) FAVORITE BREAKFAST
I have been loving my Tone It Up protein pancakes. They are seriously addictive because I am a carb addict and love my pancakes but lately, I have been trying to be healthier. These are gluten free, just have almond milk, protein powder, and a banana. I eat one a day anytime that I am hungry and I feel like I am treating myself. I use the TIU protein but I think that any protein powder would work!
5.) FAVORITE SWIMSUIT:
I have been wearing this swimsuit everyday to the pool. I still am not comfortable in any of my bikinis but I am almost there. The stomach is getting more toned but the boobs are now the problems. The new nursing boobs do not fit well into my small tops that I have worn in the past! This swimsuit is super flattering and is great for any postpartum mamas! I don’t worry about slipping out of my top when swimming with the toddler.
