I mentioned yesterday that Zulily was having a great sale on Honest Co. products. I have used their sales on Zulily multiple times to buy a voucher for diapers. It knocks $30 off of their monthly cost. To get the voucher applied, if you are not a first time customer, you have to call customer service and cancel your bundle, and then ask to apply it to your “new” one. We don’t get diapers monthly (more like one bundle every three months) so I just have to be careful to keep on delaying the second order (you can delay your order online.) I bought one for our upcoming newborn come May!
HONEST DIAPERS PRICE – COST BREAKDOWN
The first line is Honest Individual Cost (the cost of buying the six packs of diapers and the four packs of wipes not with a “bundle” savings straight from Honest). For six packs of diapers, it is $83.70 and four packs of wipes, is $19.80. This is by far the least cost-effective choice, a total of $103.50 monthly.
The second line, Honest Bundle Cost is what Honest Co. charges for each bundle for a month’s worth of diapers and wipes (6 packs diapers, 4 packs wipes) at the retail cost of $79.95. Compared to the Honest Individual cost, the Bundle Cost saves 23%. It is the second most expensive option for buying diapers and wipes but it is very convenient if you are using diapers everyday.
The math: the bundle saves 23% off of the price of buying each of the diaper packs (6) and wipes pack (4) separately. I calculated what all of the diapers would cost full price, and took off 23%, and then divided by how many individual diapers or wipes there are. It came down to $0.37 per diaper. I did the same with wipes (taking 23% off of the cost of 4 wipe packs), and it comes out to $0.05 per wipe.
The third line: Zulily Voucher cost, compares the price per Honest diaper with the decreased cost of a voucher ($49.95 for a Honest Bundle.) With the Zulily voucher, the cost goes down considerably. The voucher is $49.95 for a $79.95. It is a 37.6% savings. Compared to buying each of the diaper and wipe packs individually, the Zulily voucher saves 52%. To calculate the cost per diaper and per wipe with the Zulily voucher, I repeated the same process as above (taking 52% of what would be the full price of the components of the bundle.) Taking 52% off of the cost of diapers, brings the per diaper cost to $0.23 per diaper and $0.03 per wipe. This is a great price and lower than I can get elsewhere, so I always buy this voucher.
I do supplement from time to time with Amazon Mom Subscribe & Save with Earth’s Best diapers (which make Honest diapers without the prints) because I can get the diapers for $0.30 each, which is slightly less than Honest diaper bundle ($0.37) but more than the Zulily Honest Voucher. But with the Zulily voucher, the Honest Co. diapers come out way ahead ($0.23 per diaper!) For wipes, I prefer Seventh Generation Thick & Strong which are the most comparable to Honest’s. I buy these through Amazon Mom Subscribe & Save for a cost of $0.03 per wipe (the same as the Zulily voucher cost.) If you aren’t a member, try Amazon Mom for Free
. It gives you free 2-day shipping and up to 15% savings on each subscription when you have five or more deliveries in the same month.

So make sure to make the jump and join Zulily if you haven’t already, and buy some Honest diapers at their lowest cost! The sale ends tonight! They also have vouchers on the Essentials Bundle (cleaning and personal hygiene) and health bundle. I have included my thoughts on both below and calculated the savings. You know I like to know my numbers (as long as it is saving money 😉
And for the personal care and cleaning essentials voucher, which I have bought before as well, it brings down the cost from $34.95 to $19.95 for 5 items, bringing the cost per item to $4 (versus $7 usually.) Our favorite Honest products that we have used are shown below. For comparison, I have shown all of the prices if you were to buy each product individually from Honest. We use almost all of their personal hygiene products for B, some of their cleaning products around the house (I am currently phasing them out for DIY products but toilet bowl cleaner will stay!) And I have used their prenatals in the past as well as their Honest Toddler/ Baby vitamins which I slip into smoothies on days B doesn’t get her normal vitamin regimen.
conditioner ($9.95 separately), body oil ($9.95), lotion ($9.95), shampoo ($9.95), bubble bath ($11.95), healing balm (we use this non-stop all winter!) ($12.95), kids toothpaste ($5.95), adult toothpaste ($5.95)
candles $19.95 (*add onto a bundle and save 25% bringing it down to $15/ candle), toilet bowl cleaner ($5.95 individually), dishwasher packs $10.95 (these are comparable to Method Dishwasher Pack and are much better the gel in my opinion of any brand.)
Honest Prenatal ($19.95 for 30 day supply), Honest Toddler & Baby ($29.95 15 day supply for toddlers/ 30 day supply babies)
As I explained above, with the Honest Essentials Bundle you usually pay $35.95 for mix & match 5 products. It comes out to $7 a product. So you can see how much you save on each of the products by comparing their individual cost above, to their regular Honest Bundle Cost. The Zulily Voucher for Essentials is $19.95 for a $36 value, bringing the cost per item in the Essentials Bundle to $4.
The Zulily voucher for the Honest Health or vitamins & supplements is $19.95 for a $36 value. It includes two mix & match vitamins/ supplements. We have used the prenatals and the baby/toddler in the past. If you divide the normal cost of the bundle, $36 by two you get $18 for a month’s worth of prenatal vitamins (comparable to what they cost a the store), and $18 for a full month’s of infant vitamins (we never used them at that age) or 1/2 month’s vitamins for a toddler (slightly less cost-effective than our normal vitamin regimen but this includes probiotics too.
Sorry, this is a lot of math. I just wanted to make sure to explain everything ad nauseum so you could see how much you are saving with the vouchers. So don’t wait, the sale ends tonight! Make sure to pick up your Honest Co vouchers and get the lowest price on the products possible! Click here for your invitation to Zulily and here for your invitation to Honest Co!
Have a happy Saturday!
