THANKSGIVING TABLE FOR KIDS
We like to keep Thanksgiving casual, and with four kids under five years old this year, we just wanted to make it easy to have dinner which is why we skipped the tablecloth and went for a fun roll of craft paper as a runner!
To add some festive flair, I added our favorite faux pumpkins from JOANN that I had used for our colorful pumpkins fall tablescape, and some beautiful Cattail arrangements I used in our Halloween Tablesscape.
To make sure everything was kid-friendly, I used all plastic plates including melamine dinner plates and put little cups of crayons at several place settings. Beforehand, I wrote all the names of our family members so my kids have a daily reminder of all the people in their life we are thankful for.
While it’s not traditional or fancy by any means, or breakfast room serves us really well for informal family gatherings! With a DIY plywood top, our table is pretty much indestructible and is plenty large enough to seat 10-12 people!
