Colorful Fall Home Tour: Ready for some classic and colorful fall decor? You will love this preppy yet fun fall home tour with touches of autumn, blue and white, and pops of color! I’ll share how I decorate my house for fall with unexpected color combinations and bring my love of all things blue and white into the season!
COLORFUL FALL HOME TOUR
While I haven’t gotten around to decorating our entire house with fall decor, I’ve been sprinkling my favorite blue and white pumpkins everywhere I can. You see, I am not a huge fan of orange unless it’s Hermes orange 🙂
Instead, I choose to decorate with my favorite white faux pumpkins, blue velvet pumpkins, and my DIY gold spraypainted pumpkins. By adding a few decorative pumpkins to our most-used parts of the home (and out of reach of the children,) it’s easy to integrate fall decor into our home’s blue and white paint color scheme.
And I would be lying if I didn’t say that half the motivation behind decorating the mantel instead of a coffee table is that everything is out of reach of my one-year-old, three year old, and five year old! There will be no pumpkin missiles this year if I can help it!

In our front foyer, I added a few more decorative faux pumpkins to our front DIY Console Table. To contrast with the navy faux ostrich fabric, I used only white faux pumpkins and gold spraypainted pumpkins. I will slowly put up some more Halloween decor as we near the holiday; but, for now, this trio of pumpkins is sufficient to welcome in the new season at our front door!
For a fun colorful fall tablescape, I had some fun making my own DIY colored pumpkins and coordinated them with my favorite colorful plates. By using non-traditional fall colors, I was able to put my own little spin on fall decor. See how I made this colorful pumpkin tablescape here.
