Pink Paint Colors: In this post I’ll share the best pink paint colors and share how they look in real rooms, my tips for picking out pink paint colors, and my short list of pink paint colors to pick up from Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore!
PINK PAINT COLORS
Jump ahead to...
Picking out the right paint color for my daughters shared bedroom and nursery proved to be one of the hardest paint colors to pick out. Why? Well, because pink paint colors are so easy to mess up! Pink paint colors have many undertones that only become obvious when you have them on the wall and they easily go either purplish or orangish fast!

Four years ago, when we initially painted my eldest daughter’s bedroom (Brooke wasn’t born yet), we used Benjamin Moore Romantic Pink. It was a hard decision, and our top three runners up were Benjamin Moore Marshmallow Bunny, Pink Cadillac, and Fairy Pink. All four pinks have really good and true pink undertones unlike other light pink paint colors which can come off as either purplish or blush depending on the light.
We ended up going with Romantic Pink ultimately, and had that paint color for four years. When we decided to install the accent wallpaper, I wanted something with the same colors but less vibrant–so we diluted it to 25% strength/ saturation. Now, I am in love with the color! (Below, you can see it at 100% strength and 25% strength to compare!) With a busy wallpaper, I didn’t want a bright pink paint color. And while I loved Romantic Pink–I wanted the same tones at a lower strength (hence, why we diluted it). But, now I am in love with the paint color!

PINK PAINT COLOR UNDERTONES
To get an idea of the undertones of any pink paint color, it’s easiest to look at the paint strip they come on. Look at the most saturated colors, and you will get a picture of what the undertones of the colors are. This applies to any paint chip–look at the most saturated paint chips in the same strip, and you will see the undertones. Below, I’ve broken down my favorite pink paint colors based on the brand of paint.
BENJAMIN MOORE PINK PAINT COLORS
Now I’m going to break down each paint color, share its light reflective value (LRV) and discuss the undertones, share pics of it in real rooms if available, and my top tips for colors that go with it.
Benjamin Moore Romantic Pink
- LRV (light reflective value)= 81.24
- Colors that go with Romantic Pink: We love using cool white colors like Simply White and a fun green (BM Jade Green with Romantic Pink)
- Undertones: Benjamin Moore’s Romantic Pink has a slight purplish undertone which only really comes out when it’s painted on the walls. We have it painted in a northwest facing bedroom, and it definitely shows its more purplish tones–but in my opinion, this is the most true light pink paint color you can find.

Benjamin Moore Pink Cadillac
- LRV (light reflective value)= 82.75
- Colors that go with Pink Cadillac: I love using clean whites like BM Decorator’s White, BM Simply White, or BM Chantilly Lace with Pink Cadillac.
- Undertones: True pink with slight purplish undertone (similar to Romantic Pink)
Benjamin Moore Marshmallow Bunny
- LRV (light reflective value)= 79.35
- Colors that go with Marshmallow Bunny: clean white paint colors go with this blush pink paint well.
- Undertones: You can see difference in undertones by comparing Marshmallow Bunny to Pink Cadillac. Marshmallow Bunny has a lot more brown in it, and is a truer “blush” than light pink. It might even be considered a “dusty pink.”
Benjamin Moore Pink Bliss
- LRV (light reflective value)= 84.3
- Colors that go with Pink Bliss: white paint colors go with this blush pink paint well (like you an see in the picture below from A Burst of Beautiful)
- Undertones: Similar to Marshmallow Bunny, but with less brown) This has a slight purplish tone to it.
- See how BM Pink Bliss looks below in the beautiful girls nursery from A Burst of Beautiful

Pink Fairy 2006-70
- LRV (light reflective value)=79.7

Benjamin Moore Opal 85.99
- LRV (light reflective value)=85.99
- Colors that go with Opal: pastel colors and clean whites.
